Written By: Kristina Ramotar

The Stormville Airport’s Wine, Cider, Food Truck and Car Show Festival is the newest festival in the Hudson Valley to attend. This family friendly festival will be held on Saturday, September 30 from 11 am – 6 pm at the Stormville Airport located at 428 Route 216, Stormville, New York, 12582.

With the generous support of our Sponsors (Smokers Mecca, Bogarts Auto, Bottini Fuel and NYC’s Premier Concierge Service Essential Hudson Valley) and to our Media Sponsors (Shawangunk Journal, Halston Media, LLC and Macaroni Kid), this event will be a great success!

There will be an array of food trucks offering all sorts of tantalizing menu items such as: Farmers & Chefs (BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders), Dogfellas (Dog Bowls- this is a must try), Pappi’s Mediterranean (Jerusalem Falafel), The Hungry Traveler (Brew House Burger), Ma’s & Pa’s Refreshments (Italian Ices), Off The Hook (Lobster Roll), Chilly Willy’s Ice Cream (Banana Split), Patruno’s Place (Meatball Sliders) and Weenie Lynn’s (The Porker). Our reining June 2017 People’s Choice Trophy Award Winner for the Best Food Truck, Forget Me Not Cupcakes will have your mouth watering once you see the selection of cupcakes she has in store for you, such as her Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cabernet Cupcake. Let’s see if she will take home the September 2017 People’s Choice Trophy or one of her competitors will.

In addition to eating some of the most delicious cuisines out there, from 2 pm – 6 pm, the Wine and Cider portion of the festival will begin. Our goal is to promote and strengthen one of Hudson Valley’s most rapidly growing industries through interaction and education. Wine Fest ticket holders ages 21 and older will sample dozens of local, regional and national wines and ciders and will receive a souvenir glass. Some of them include: Angry Orchard Hard Cider, Awestruck Premium Hard Cider, McKenzie’s Hard Cider, Stella Artois Cidre, Brownstone Winery, 1911 Established, Authentica Sangria, Bad Seed, Pumphouse Wines, Senor Sangria, High Rock Distillery, LLC and Strongbow Apple Ciders.

There will be live music performances by the Annie Mash Duo, Back 2 Zero, Amanda Ayala seen on NBC’s “The Voice” featuring The Midnight Glory Band and Kevin Kennedy. Our Sound Engineer will be provided by RC Entertainment. We have Celebrity Cooking Demos by Food Network’s Chopped Champion Dafna Mizrahi preparing a delicious gourmet taco and ceviche paired with a margarita and Jace, who will be interacting with our attendees and performing magic tricks.

There will be plenty of activities for both adults and children to participate in. The EmbalmersX will be hosting the Car Show. Register your car, truck or bike, all makes and models are welcome. Compete for the Top 20 People’s Choice Trophies and Specialty Categories Trophies; door prizes will also be given out. Or try your luck in our Corn Hole Tournament run by NY Corn Hole. There is a cash prize for the 1st place team and door prizes for the 2nd and 3rd place teams.

In our Kids Zone, we have Button Down Balloons creating one of a kind balloon animals and hats; bouncy houses and slides; Gold’s Gym will be providing a ninja obstacle course, corn hole, kan jam, ring toss and horse shoes; Hackett Farm Supply providing a corn maze and bowling and Dream Weaver Arts will be providing pumpkin decorating and paper crafts.

There will be an Artisan Market featuring handmade arts and crafts (Bucci Handmade Jewelry, ReChic Boutique and Nancy K. Designs), specialty foods (Cheesecake Heaven, Worldlings Pleasure (dips & spreads), Soukup Farms (maple products), Honeybrook Farms (honey products)), home based vendors (Pam w/ Scentsy) and promotional business vendors (Valley Pediatric Dentistry). New to this festival is our LuLaRoe Closet, which will allow several consultants to participate due to the overwhelming popularity.
